MoU Between Kathmandu University and Rabindra Puri Foundation

Kathmandu University (KU) and Rabindra Puri Foundation for Conservation (R.P. Foundation) have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in the areas of education and heritage conservation. The MoU, signed by Prof. Dr. Manish Pokhrel, Dean of the School of Engineering at KU, and Rabindra Puri, Chairman of R.P. Foundation, outlines key areas of cooperation aimed at promoting academic excellence and heritage conservation.

Under the agreement, KU, established in 1992 under the Kathmandu University Act, will collaborate with the R.P. Foundation, established in 2009, to share resources and facilities. Specifically, the R.P. Foundation will provide infrastructures and facilities for the field activities of KU's Civil Engineering and Architecture programs. Additionally, both parties will jointly develop and implement a bachelor-level program in Heritage Conservation and Traditional Building Technology.

Furthermore,The MoU is set to remain valid for three years, with provisions for review and termination by mutual consent. Dispute resolution mechanisms, adherence to laws, and confidentiality are also outlined in the agreement.

The collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to contribute to the academic and cultural landscape of Nepal.

This partnership is a testament to the commitment of both KU and R.P. Foundation to the development of education and heritage conservation in Nepal, providing a solid foundation for future collaborative endeavors.
