Kathmandu University (KU) is an autonomous, not-for-profit institution dedicated to maintain high standards of academic excellence.

KU, School of Engineering invites application from dynamic and qualified candidates who are willing to take up challenges in academics, for the following positions on contract basis.

* Note: For position indicated as Lecturer or TA, lecturer maybe preferred. Initial contract period will be 6 months or a semester. Contract period may be extended based upon performance.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

1. Lecturer: Masters’ Degree in related discipline in 1^st division or equivalent; The transcript of the degree shall clearly indicate 1^st division, if not equivalence will be done based upon KU first division equivalent criterion of minimum CGPA of 3.25 on 4 point grading scale as per interpretation of the marks or grades of the candidate by the school. For all engineering related position, the formal education must be of 18 years duration (12+4+2). For economics and science, 17 years of formal education may be considered eligible but 18 year would be preferred.

2. Teaching Assistant: Bachelors’ Degree in related discipline in 1^st division or equivalent; The transcript of the degree shall clearly indicate 1^st division, if not equivalence will be done based upon KU first division equivalent criterion of minimum CGPA of 3.0 on 4 point grading scale as per interpretation of the marks or grades of the candidate by the school. For all engineering related position, the formal education must be of 16 years duration (12+4). For economics and science, 15 years of formal education may be considered eligible but 16 year will be preferred.

Documents required:

Recent CV, copies of mark sheets of all academic qualifications/ transcripts, citizenship certificate, work and professional experience certificates (both existing and previous), and other credentials. Two recent PP size photographs should also be attached.

The completed application form must be submitted along with application fee deposit voucher of Rs. 500 (deposited to KU bank account) and necessary documents no later than September 08, 2016 to KU, School of Engineering Office, Dhulikhel, Kavre.

Salary and benefits will be as per the rule of the University.
