Ms. Meena Maiya Suwal, a scholar of Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology has successfully defended her dissertation entitled "Micropropagation, Somatic Embryogenesis, and Evaluation of Bioactive Compounds of Selected Bamboo Species" on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Ms. Suwal has completed her Ph.D. research under the supervisions of Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dhurva Prasad Gauchan.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean/Supervisor Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dhurva Prasad Gauchan, HoD Prof. Dr. Subodh Kumar Upadhyaya, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Tribikram Bhattarai, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyawali (Dean’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire (VC’s Nominee).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee
