Mr. Rajib Kumar Shrestha, a scholar of Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Screening of Selected Medicinal Plants of Nepal for their Chemical Composition, Antioxidant, Antimicrobial and Anticancer Activities" on Thursday, September 03, 2026. Mr. Shrestha has completed his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bhupal Govinda Shrestha.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Bed Mani Dahal; supervisor, Prof. Dr. Bhupal Govinda Shrestha; HoD Department of Biotechnology, Prof. Dr. Dhurva Prasad Gauchan; External Examiner, Prof. Dr. Yuba Raj Pokharel; Prof. Dr. Subodh Kumar Upadhyaya (Dean’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Surya Kant Kalauni (VC’s Nominee).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
