Mr. Bigyan Joshi a scholar of Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science at the Department of Pharmacy has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Phytochemical Analysis and Formulation of Ursolic Acid Isolated from Rhododendron arboreum" on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Mr. Joshi has completed his Ph.D. research under the Supervision of Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa and Co-Supervision of Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyawali.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Bed Mani Dahal, the Supervisor Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, Head of Department Dr. Rajan Shrestha, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Dharma Khanal, Dean's Nominee Dr. Surya Kant Kalauni and VC's Nominee Prof. Dr. Rajendra Joshi.

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
