Mr. Anup Luitel a scholar of Ph.D. in Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmacy has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Evaluation of Hepatoprotective and Anticancer Potentials of Indigenous Himalayan Plants" on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Mr. Luitel has completed his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhnae, and Co-Supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rajan Shrestha, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ashwinee Kumar Shrestha.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Bed Mani Dahal; supervisor, Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane; HoD Department of Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rajan Shrestha; External examiner, Prof. Dr. Balmukunda Regmi; Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyawali (Dean’s Nominee), Assoc. Prof. Surya Kant Kalauni (VC’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Bhupal Govinda Shrestha (Associate Dean).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
