In a significant stride towards bolstering technical education in Nepal, Kathmandu University (KU) and Shree Chakrajyoti Secondary School (SCSS), Banepa, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration in technical and vocational education. The MoU, signed on the 26th of Chaitra, 2080, outlines a framework for mutual support, particularly in the realm of computer engineering courses for students in grades 9 to 12 at SCSS.
The agreement acknowledges the pressing need for skilled human resources and infrastructure in technical education, addressing the existing gap in teaching resources at SCSS. Under the terms of the MoU, KU will extend technical assistance to SCSS, providing faculty referrals, training, and internship opportunities for students. Additionally, KU faculty and graduates may engage in academic projects at SCSS, further enriching the learning experience.
This landmark collaboration signifies a concerted effort by both institutions to enhance the quality of technical education in Nepal. With a commitment to joint approval and adherence to defined protocols, the MoU is poised to drive positive change in the educational landscape. As per the agreement, the collaboration will be operational for an initial period of three years, subject to renewal, amendment, or termination by mutual consent. This initiative holds promise for nurturing a skilled workforce equipped to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving technological landscape in Nepal.
By forging this partnership, Kathmandu University and Shree Chakrajyoti Secondary School pave the way for a brighter future, where quality technical education empowers individuals and contributes to the nation's development.
