3rd U-Learning Training was conducted at Kathmandu University.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Kathmandu University successfully conducted a three day training program on Ubiquitous learning held on 8-10 Jan 2017. The theme of the training was Equal Education Opportunities by U-Learning technology. Dr. Manish Pokharel, Head of the Department of Department of Computer Science and Engineering gave an opening speech on the importance of U-Learning technology in Education and its challenges on implementation in the context of Nepal.

 

The participants were primarily from public-private school from various districts of Nepal. Selection of School was done on the basis of equality with respect to remote and urban location. Dr. Purusottam Kharel was a lead person to conduct this training and Mr. Cavin Shin from South Korea was the resource person.

The training concluded with a joint commitment from all participants on enhancing the scope of U-learning system in education. Kathmandu University U- Learning Research and Development Unit has already selected three more schools with the support from National Research Foundation (NRF- By Kim Jonghun) South Korea. The newly selected schools are from Dolakha, Sindhuli and Saptari districts. 

This project is a joint collaboration of Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University, NSDevil South Korea and National Research Foundation of South Korea.
