This program welcomes research on various aspects of communication/media ranging from communication theory, communication practices in various fields, different dimensions of media industry and media support systems, and communication/media studies from inter/multi-disciplinary perspectives.

PhD in English

The PhD in English is an inclusive program that welcomes those who are interested in deepening their understanding of English language, literature, and communication. It welcomes a wide range of research interests, encompassing but not limited to literary studies and critical theory to linguistics, language teaching, creative writing, and cultural studies. PhD in Nepali

This program promotes advanced research in Nepali literature, linguistics, and cultural studies. Candidates explore traditional and contemporary Nepali literary forms, language evolution, and the role of Nepali literature in cultural preservation, development and its presence on the global stage.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent 60% marks
  • Minimum 17 years of total education.
  • Research and work experience in relevant fields (preferred)
  • Experience in field research, data analysis, and scientific writing (advantageous)
