Workshop on Human Values and Personal Transformations Kicks Off

Launching of a Course on “Human Values and Personal Transformations (27 Oct-5 Nov 2015)” was officially inaugurated as a workshop on 28 October 2015 with lightening of lamp jointly by Founder Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma and immediate past Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Mr. Leela Mani Paudyal.

Prof. Dr. Bishal Sitaula from Norwergian University of Life Sciences highlighted on the importance of the course. Prof. SR Sharma on the occasion spoke briefly on the past history of Kathmandu University associating the same with the rationale for introducing undergraduate honors program in Environmental Science as one of the earliest programs and pioneers in Nepal. Mr. Leela Mani Paudyal expressed basic principles of human values, which every individual must possess, and narrated briefly the success story taking example of Bagmati River cleaning campaign. Others who appreciated this initiative taken by the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the occasion were Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar and Mr. Mukunda Upadhayaya, Chief Administrative Officer.
