A two-day workshop titled “Capacity Building in Digitalization and Evidence-Based Decision-Making for Traders” was successfully conducted in January 15-16, 2025, at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). The workshop aimed to empower traders by equipping them with essential digital tools and strategies to enhance their business operations. With a focus on addressing challenges in modern business environments, the program emphasized developing participants' analytical and technological capacities. The sessions were highly interactive and practical, providing participants with hands-on experience relevant to their trade. The workshop concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing satisfaction and appreciation for the engaging and well-organized sessions.

The interactive sessions covered a range of topics, including data visualization using MS Excel and Power BI, use of various excel tools to convert raw data to well structured dat, business promotion through mobile tools, and data collection techniques using Google Forms. Participants practiced with real-time sales data, which helped them relate the theoretical knowledge to practical applications. The workshop garnered positive feedback for its punctuality, interactive approach, and practical relevance, though participants expressed a desire for extended durations in future sessions.The program concluded with participants expressing confidence in adopting the skills to digitize their business operations. KUSOM’s initiative was praised as a significant step toward empowering traders with tools for sustainable growth in the competitive business landscape. Participants requested more workshops of this nature to continue developing their digital and analytical skills. A common concern was the limited duration only of the two days workshop was not sufficient. They suggested extending future workshops to allow for more in-depth learning.
