Department of Civil & Geometrics Engineering, Kathmandu University (KU), in joint collaboration with Hydro tunneling & Research Pvt. Ltd., Seoul National University (SNU), Korea and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, has received a research grant from Energize Nepal. The project aims to improve the capacity of research and education required for development of the renewable energy sector in Nepal and the region.
The title of funded project is Technical Investigation of Tunnel Support Technology in Hydropower Projects Located in the Himalayan Region of Nepal.

To support and smoothly conduct the research project, the project calls for an application form interested and committed candidate to work as a full time MS by Research Assistant who will be admitted as MS by Research Student in KU.
The candidate should atleast have a four year's Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and preference. In addition, the candidate must have good writing and communication skill in English and learning attitude. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Interested candidates are requested to send their curriculum vitae, (not more than 2 pages long) with cover letter explaining their competence and objectives to undertake a research, and the copies of academic certificates chronological in a single pdf file no later than 18th February 2019 to sskhadka@ku.edu.np (Shyam Sundar Khadka, Principal Investigator).
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Selected candidates are expected to join duty immediately.
