The Information and Language Processing Research Lab (ILPRL) was established in the year 2004 at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University. The Lab has been actively working on several Research Projects with a particular focus on the Nepali Language. Some of the Projects include Machine Translation System, Spell-checker, Linux Distro Localization, Optical Character Recognition System, Text-to-Speech System, Sentiment Analysis etc.

·Experience with Android application development and Image Processing
·Strong interest in mobile applications development and having an intuition for UX design and consumer behavior

·Team player with initiative to work on individual projects
Job Description
·Work with Nepali text images and Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
·Design the architecture of Android application
·Design and develop smartphone application for Nepali OCR (Android platform)
·Work with smartphone, camera and accessibility features
·Periodically report to the team about the product
·Be flexible and ready to accept new challenges
