The University Officials attended the annual function of Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) held at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu. Speaking as the Chief Guest to a gathering of medical professionals, college family and representatives of different professional organizations, Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, the Vice Chancellor, emphasized that with KMC as a big family of committed professionals, the University has achieved a satisfactory expansion.
The Vice Chancellor further recalled
the humanitarian works done by faculties, staffs and students of KU and KMC after
the devastating earthquake of April 2015. He highlighted the fact that KU,
with its affiliated institutions including KMC, has created opportunities of jobs
and scholarships benefiting thousands of individuals. He also advised the students, young faculties and practitioners to take the medical profession as a religion and their workplace as a place of worship.
Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Narendra Bahadur Rana, Dean, School of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dr. Rajendra Koju, Associate Dean, School of Medical Sciences, among others, were present on the occasion.
