Team DoCSE participated in Capacity Building Trainers' Programme on “Outcome Based Curriculum Development for IT, Computer/Software Engineering Programmes”
Team DoCSE participated in the five-day Capacity Building Trainers’ Programme on “Outcome Based Curriculum Development for IT, Computer/Software Engineering Programmes” (Programme Code: NC-CONSNEP-25) conducted from May 4 to May 8, 2026, at Temple Tree Resort, Pokhara.
The programme was jointly organized under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research, Bhopal and the Nepal Engineering Council, while Pokhara University hosted the programme to strengthen Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices in engineering education in Nepal in alignment with the Washington Accord framework.
The training focused on Outcome-Based Curriculum Development for Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology Engineering programmes. Major areas covered during the programme included:
The programme adopted an intensive hands-on approach through discussions, group work, assignments, presentations, and practical curriculum design exercises.
Prof. Sanjay Agrawal and Prof. Ravi Kanta Kapoor served as the facilitators for the programme on behalf of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research, Bhopal.
The programme represents an important milestone in enhancing engineering education quality and preparing Nepalese engineering programmes towards internationally benchmarked accreditation standards and future Washington Accord compliance.
