Students of the Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBIS) program at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSoM) : Prarabda Singh Mahat, Ishan Guragain, and Sanjay Shrestha, representing Team DigiKrit, won the Cultural Identity Track at MBMC IdeaX 2025, a national-level hackathon organized by Madan Bhandari Memorial College,held from December 19 to 21, 2025.

Among 140 participants from colleges across Nepal, the team developed PocketGuide, an Augmented Reality (AR)-based cultural travel application, which was conceptualized and developed within a 48-hour intensive hackathon.

The achievement highlights the interdisciplinary strength of the BBIS program and reflects KUSoM’s commitment to fostering innovation, digital transformation, and socially impactful technology solutions rooted in Nepal’s cultural heritage.
