School of Engineering signed Letter of Agreement with NEAEC for estimating transmission line sag

Dean of School of Engineering Dr. Damber Bahadur Nepali and Managing Director of NEA Engineering Company Ltd. (NEAEC) Mr. Hitendra Dev Shakya signed letter of agreement for estimating transmission line sag. Low-altitude unmanned aerial system (UAS) equipped with optical digital camera will be employed to estimate sag of transmission lines. The UAS images will further be utilized to identify and map man-made structures within the right of way of the transmission line. Moreover, the platform will be used to capture High Definition videos of each electrical pylons for manually inspecting any damages. The study area covers 10km stretch of 66KV transmission line from Bhaktapur to Satdobato. The project duration is for 2 months. Please direct your project specific queries to Project Leader Er.
