Inter Institutional Agreement 2016-17

Between Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel, Nepal,

and

University of Salzburg (PLUS), Salzburg, Austria

An agreement was signed under the auspices of Erasmus+ Mobility for Learners and Student between Kathmandu University, Nepal and University of Salzburg, Austria and completed on 9^th June 2016 facilitated by Prof.  Dr. Subodh Sharma, Director of Research, Development & Consultancy (RDC) on behalf of Kathmandu University. The Directorate announces opportunities for an exchange visit of one faculty of GIS and Remote Sensing and one PhD scholar registered at Kathmandu University and applying GIS and Remote Sensing in research, for short term visit to the Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS, University of Salzburg, Austria. This visit for faculty will be between September 1st to September 30th, 2016 and student’s stay will be from September 1st to November 30th 2016.

Pre-requisites for faculty / PhD students going from KU to PLUS, besides others are as follows:

 -       Candidates must be either a Full Time Faculty or a Full/Part Time PhD student with focus on natural disaster management.

-       The candidates should submit a short proposal about what they would like to do, should have command on English language, with good hands-on experience of working with GIS and Remote Sensing software

-       Should demonstrate their previous work in the field of natural disaster management through publications or oral/poster presentations in any International Seminars/Conferences.
