Inter Institutional Agreement 2016-17

Phase- II

Between Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal,

and

University of Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria


An agreement for Phase-II was signed under the auspices of Erasmus+ Mobility for Learners and Student between Kathmandu University, Nepal and University of Salzburg, Austria and completed on 14th November 2016 facilitated by Prof.  Dr. Subodh Sharma, Director of Research, Development & Consultancy (RDC) on behalf of Kathmandu University. The Directorate announces opportunities for an exchange visit of one faculty of GIS and Remote Sensing and one PhD scholar registered at Kathmandu University (KU) and applying GIS and Remote Sensing in research, for short term visit to the Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg (UniS), Austria. This visit for faculty will be between Mid June to July, and student’s stay will be from Mid April to July this year.

 

Pre-requisites for faculty / PhD students coming from KU to UniS, besides others are as follows:

 

 -       Candidates must be a Full Time Junior Faculty and a PhD student (preferably Full Time) from the Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering or Department of Environmental Science and Engineering.

-       The candidates should submit a short proposal about what they would like to do, should have command on English language, with good hands-on experience of working with GIS and Remote sensing software.

-       Should demonstrate their previous work in the field of Natural Resources Management/Disaster Management through publications or oral/poster presentations in any International Seminars/Conferences.
