Willingness to Organize Training on Energy through Anaerobic Digestion

 

Research, Development & Consultancy (RDC) Directorate invites Research Centers/Department/individual faculty willing to co-ordinate a Learning Event on ‘Energy through Anaerobic Digestion’ training for Nepalese and Indian PhD and postdoctoral researchers from 23 to 28 January 2017. This learning event on organic waste to energy through anaerobic digestion provides an inter- and trans-disciplinary training and scientific exchange in anaerobic digestion of organic waste for energy production. The six days training will be composed of lectures on the background and concept as well as exercises building upon selected research projects of the involved institutes. Hands-on training will include the building of small experimental anaerobic digesters as well as relevant laboratory skills for substrate and biogas analyses. Collaborating partners are NEERI, India and FHNW, Switzerland. A total of twenty-five participants are expected to participate.
