Prof. Subodh Sharma receives award and felicitation on special occasions in India

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh State in India Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan felicitates Dr. Subodh Sharma, Professor of Environmental Science and Director of Research at Kathmandu University, on 65th Day of “Namami Devi Narmade-Seva Yatra’ amidst a massive gathering of people including villagers, saints, and activists along the bank of river Narmada at Lohara village of Badwani district  on 15th February 2017. Dr. Sharma also received a gold medal for his outstanding research and academic contribution in the field of aquatic science from the President of Zoological Society of India (ZSI) at the International Conference on Ecosystem Responses to Global Environmental Changes and Its Effects (16-18 Feb. 2017) hosted jointly by the ZSI and School of Life Sciences Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya Indore (India) & P.G. Department of Zoology, AIMS, at Dhamnod. Furthermore, speaking at the Press Conference on the eve of South Asian Speakers Summit held in Indore, Dr. Subodh Sharma highlighted on the effects of climate change on water uses and availability especially in a spring fed river like Narmada and the need to understand the linkages for conservation of this river- lifeblood of the State Madhya Pradesh.
