Prof. Dr. Bijay KC, who was recently appointed the Dean of School of Management (KUSOM), was welcomed at the School, in a program attended by Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, the Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Registrar, and faculties and staffs.

Adressing the gathering, Prof. KC recalled his past invovlement in Kathmandu University as the Dean of School of Management during the School's formative years. He said that he accepted the Deanship one more time acknowledging the fact that there is a huge scope to contribute to Nepal's higher education system through Kathmandu University.

Prof. Thapa expressed satisfaction that Prof. KC, who was one of the forerunners during the early days of the University, agreed to serve the School as its guardian. He also invited the newly appointed Dean to help in the overall management of the University with inputs from his decades-long experiences in teaching and management.  

In his welcome note, the Vice Chancellor expressed the belief that the School will achieve newer dimensions in Prof. KC's leadership. He also urged the School family to gradually work towards  materializing the University's recent initiatives for quality, innovation, equity, impact, identity and global engagement.

The Vice Chancellor also acknowledged the contribution of Prof. Subas KC, the former Dean, in giving the School the height it has today. 

Prof. Dr. Devi Bidari, who recently served as the School's Acting Dean, moderated the welcome program. Having heartily thanked the University authority and the School family for their cooperation during his short tenure as the Acting Dean, Prof. Bidari promised to extend productive support to the newly appointed Dean during his tenure.
