Call for Proposal and Quotations
For supply and delivery of Furniture for Architecture Program
(First time published in KU website, 29 Aug. 2017)
Re-Call (As the bidder did not submit required number of quotation) for proposal and price quotes (Sealed Quotation) are hereby invited from local and international educational furniture suppliers (importers, exporters, or manufacturers) for the supply and delivery on site at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre, Nepal, the following furniture on package or sub-package basis.
drafting table with adjustable inclination and accommodating drawing sheet of size up to A0 (841 x 1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 in) and sitting chair for drawing for students
Sitting chairs for drawing for students in 32 nos. of Quantity
Interested supplier must submit proposal with price quotes on sub-package basis with following details.
Picture or drawing of the furniture intended for supply
Dimension of the furniture
Feature of furniture such as colour, material, ergonomic or comfort level
Rate quote for each type of furniture
The packages and sub-packages are described conceptually in the subsequent pages. The suppliers are expected to submit their proposal and quote in the similar format.

The delivery shall be made within a month of issue of Purchase Order. Delay in delivery will be subject to price penalty of 5% of the quoted price for each week of delay exceeding delivery by more than 1 week.
The price quoted shall be inclusive of all applicable taxes (VAT, import tax, export tax, etc.) Kathmandu University reserves the right to accept proposal and quote on sub-packages basis and accordingly select different suppliers for packages and sub-packages. Further, it reserves the right to cancel any or all proposals on any logical ground whatsoever for a good cause.
