Parvathi Foundation U.K. Scholarship Endowment Established at Kathmandu University

Parvathi Foundation U.K. Scholarship Endowment Fund, aimed at supporting medical education for underprivileged students has been established at Kathmandu University. The endowment fund, equivalent to £12,500 (NPR. 20,86,641), was donated by the Parvathi Foundation, a charitable organization based in Glasgow, UK.

The fund will be utilized to provide need-based scholarships to two or more students enrolled in the MBBS program at Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS). As stipulated in the agreement with the Parvathi Foundation, preference will be given to female students from needy, underprivileged rural backgrounds and families with a history of educational disadvantages.

The establishment of the endowment fund was officially approved by the 717th Executive Council meeting of Kathmandu University.
