NMIMS Indore and Kathmandu University Successfully Host Second International Conference on Criminal Justice

NMIMS Indore’s School of Law, through its Research and Publication Committee, Pragyan, in collaboration with Kathmandu University’s School of Law, Nepal, hosted the Second International Conference on “Changing Dimensions of Administration of Criminal Justice in the Contemporary Era” on March 28–29, 2025.

The two-day event attracted over 100 abstract submissions from leading institutions across India, with 70 research papers selected. Scholars from National Law Universities, private institutions, and international universities, including Kathmandu University, participated, fostering rich academic discussions.

Notable guests included Prof. Amar Pal Singh (Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow), Prof. (Dr.) Upma Gautam (GGSIP University, Delhi), and Advocate Abha Singh. Speakers also included Prof. (Dr.) Rishikesh Wagle and Dr. Aakanksha Verma from Kathmandu University, and Prof. Dr. James Treadwell from Staffordshire University Law School, England.

Sessions covered topics like technological advancements in criminal justice, policy reforms, forensic science, cybercrime, and human rights. Experts from NLIU Bhopal, GNLU Gandhinagar, and NLU Jodhpur contributed valuable insights.

Prof. (Dr.) Anshuman Jaswal, Director, NMIMS Indore, praised the organizing team and participants. Dr. Ashutosh Hajela, Associate Dean, presented the event report highlighting extensive participation from scholars and practitioners.

The conference reaffirmed the dedication of NMIMS Indore and Kathmandu University to promoting excellence in legal research and education.
