Kathmandu University is delighted that Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Vice-Chancellor, has been named "Promising Vice-Chancellor of the Year" by Nepal Education Award.

Coming on the heels of the successful hosting of the Association of Indian Universities North Zone Vice-Chancellors' Meet 2024 and the Bharat Nepal Higher Education Summit at Kathmandu University, the latest award is testimony to the efforts put by Prof. Thapa towards transforming Nepal's educational landscape.

The award will undoubtedly support Kathmandu University's attempts at internationalizing Nepal's higher education. Moreover, the award and the successful hosting of the meet and summit have come with an added sense of responsibility towards higher education in the coming days.
