Mr. Prem Narayan Paudel, a scholar of Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Department of Chemical Science and Engineering has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Chemical Profiling, Bioactivity Analysis, and Formulation of Essential Oils from Lamiaceae Plant Species, Nepal." on Friday, December 29, 2023. Mr. Paudel has completed his Ph.D. research under the joint supervisions of Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyawali and Prof. Dr. William N. Setzer.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, joint supervisors Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyawali and Prof. Dr. William N. Setzer, HoD Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kundan Lal Shrestha, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Hem Raj Pant, Dr. Balram Pokhrel (Dean’s Nominee), Dr. Achyut Adhikari (VC’s Nominee).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
