Mr. Nabin Narayan Munankarmi, a scholar of Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Bioactive Characterization and Industry Applications of Selected Edible Medicinal Plants of Nepal" on Wednesday, September 02, 2026. Mr. Munankarmi has completed his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dhurva Parasd Gauchan and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Wei Zhang.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Bed Mani Dahal, supervisor Prof. Dr. Dhurva Parasd Gauchan, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Yuba Raj Pokharel, Prof. Dr. Sangita Shakya (Dean’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Tribikram Bhattarai (VC’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Bhupal Govinda Shrestha (Associate Dean)..

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
