MOU signing ceremony between Kathmandu University,
School of Engineering and Ministry of
Land Reform and Management, Land Management Training Centre.
The
new MOU has been signed on Friday May 04, 2012 between Kathmandu University
(KU), School of Engineering (SOE) and Ministry
of Land Reform and Management (MOLRM), Land Management Training centre (LMTC)for the support of Geomatics Engineering
Program of KU at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre . The Dean, School of
Engineering Prof, Dr. Bhola Thapa and Executive Director of LMTC, Mr. Nagendra
Jha has signed on the MOU in the presence of Vice chancellor, Registrar, Dean
School of Science, Chief Administration officer, HOD DCGE, Coordinators,
faculties of Geomatics program and administration staffs of SOE, KU and
Directors andstaffs from LMTC.

During
the ceremony, Prof, Dr. Bhola Thapa mentioned on the progress of Geomatics
Engineering program and the successful completion of first batch of Geomatics
engineering. Similarly, Executive Director of LMTC Mr. Nagendra Jha expressed
his pleasure for the progress of Geomatics Engineering program and highlighted
on the changes in new MOU in comparison to previous MOU. As the concluding
remarks, the vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma pointed out the successful
partnership of public organisation (KU) and Government (LMTC). Further, he
added that society should get maximum benefit from the graduates of Geomatics
Engineering of KU and that will be the indicator whether the Geomatics
Engineering program of KU is success.
