April 1, 2026, A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Kathmandu University and TekBay Digital Pvt. Ltd., Ekantakuna, Lalitpur to enhance students skill and certification in cloud computing particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS). The purpose of this MoU is to establish a collaboration wherein TekBay facilitates AWS Certification examination and preparation for students of the Institution under the TekBay AWS Apprenticeship Program.

This MoU shall apply to the following AWS certification(s) AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) and AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer Associate (MLA-C01). Additional certifications may be included through mutual written consent of both Parties. Students can enroll in AWS MLA-C01 certification only after completing classes of AWS SAA-CO3 with more than 80% attendance.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Pankaj Raj Dawadi, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Mr. Baivab Dhoj Khadka, Managing Director, TekBay in the presence of faculties of DoCSE and representatives from TekBay.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Department of Artificial Intelligence and TekBay Digital Pvt. Ltd. on the same day focusing on the terms mentioned above.
