Prof. Dr. Mohan Bikram Gewali, Dean, School of Science, KU  and Mr. Cas de Stoppelaar, Chairman of Himalayan Tiger Foundation (the Netherlands), signed an MOU on 28 April 2016 for a duration of five years.

The MOU will focus on the organization of joint academic and scientific activities such as courses, conferences, seminars, symposia or lectures; the exchange and sharing of teaching and academic materials, publications and other pertinent information and exchange of students and faculty from universities in the Netherlands and Kathmandu University in Nepal.

Similarly, Professor Dr. Jacques J. M. van Alphen from the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, gave two-days lecture on April 27 and 28, 2016 at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel. The lecture series was jointly organized by School of Science Kathmandu University and Himalayan Tiger foundation, the Netherlands. Students of 3rd year and 4^th year B.Sc. Environmental Science were the main participants.
