On 27 June 2018, MoU has been signed between the Turbine Testing Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Kathmandu University, Nepal and the Institute of New and Renewable Energy Technology Research, Mokpo National University, Mokpo (MNU), Korea for cooperation in the field of education and research and as a contribution to increased international co-operation.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Damber Nepali, Dean, School of Engineering, KU and Dr. Young-Do Choi, Institute of New and Renewable Energy Technology Research, MNU. This document was signed at KU first and was brought to MNU by Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa for the signature from the counterpart during his participation at the "2018 International Workshop on Renewable Energy Development” held at MNU on 26-28 June 2018.
The major objectives of the cooperation based on this MoU are:
1. The exchange of staff in programs to the mutual benefit of both institutions.
2. The exchange of students in programs to the mutual benefit of both institutions.
3. Collaboration in teaching, research and development and consultancy studies.
4. The exchange of academic materials and publications.
5. The provision of cultural and intellectual enrichment opportunities for staff and students of both institutions.
