A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the City Planning Commission (CPC), Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and the Department of Architecture, School of Engineering, Kathmandu University (KU), to strengthen institutional collaboration in the fields of urban planning, architectural research, and academic engagement.

The MoU emphasizes joint initiatives in Architecture and urban design, heritage conservation, climate-resilient development, research-based planning, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the City Planning Commission (CPC), Kathmandu Metropolitan City, by Dr. Suman Basnet Rajbhandari, Vice Chairperson of the City Planning Commission. Representing the Department of Architecture, Kathmandu University, the MoU was signed by Dr. Bindu Shrestha, Head of the Department.

This collaboration aims to promote academic research, student engagement, technical studies, and professional support for Architectural and urban development initiatives undertaken by Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The Department of Architecture, Kathmandu University, will play a key role in the effective implementation of the MoU through academic supervision, research support, and coordinated institutional programs.
