About Manisha

Manisha was born on Friday, September 12, 1986 in Moscow, Russia. Nurses and doctors at the hospital called her in Russian language “krasivaya rebyonka sa chyournimi glazami” meaning “a beautiful baby with dark eyes”. She was a year and ten months old when her parents returned to Nepal. She has one younger sibling, Samanata Shrestha. Manisha was nearly ten years old when she left for the United States with her parents. At that time, she was studying in fifth grade at Little Angel’s School in Kathmandu. She completed her high school education from James Madison High School, in Vienna, Virginia, USA. Manisha became a permanent resident of the United States of America in 2004. After graduation, she came to Nepal to do undergraduate in Kathmandu University. This is an indication of how much she loved living and being with friends and relatives in Nepal. Manisha was studying the first semester of her BBA 4th year when life was cut short for her. She wanted to complete her undergraduate, and go to U.S. for her Master’s degree. She always said that she wanted to do Ph. D. and become a CEO of some company in the future. She showed interest in Nepali and Newari cultures and traditions. While studying at the KCM, she would visit her parents in the U.S. at least twice a year during her vacations. She spoke with great enthusiasm and fondness about her college, friends and sports teammates. Yes, she possessed amazing leadership, managerial and organizational skills. We can confidently say that she would have been very successful in her life. Whether in a brief encounter or a long relationship, Manisha has always left a footprint of her presence.
