LoA
signed between KU and ICIMOD
A Letter
of Agreement (LoA) has been signed between the Kathmandu University (KU) and
International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) for a study on
“Estimation of above ground forest
biomass and carbon stock using UAV images”. The project is for one year,
starting in August 2014. The project aims to:
- Develop multi-rotor UAV platform
suitable for photogrammetric applications
- Develop software to geo-reference images
captured using UAV
- Geo-reference the images
- Estimate above ground forest biomass
The Department of Civil
& Geomatics Engineering (DCGE) will handle the project at the University.
