Students of KUSOM's Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBIS) program Mr. Prarabda Singh Mahat, Mr. Ishan Guragain, and Mr. Sanjay Shrestha, along with Ms. Samana Khadka (B.Tech Biotechnology, KUSOS) and Ms. Manashi Sah (Health Informatics, KUSOS), representing Team SamaPrish, secured a Top 3 position in the Regional Round and advanced to achieve a Top 6 position at the National Level in the Harvard University HSIL Hackathon 2026 – Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI, held on April 10–11, 2026.
Competing among over 400 teams nationwide, the team developed RaktaKosh, an AI-powered solution designed to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and coordination of blood supply systems. Built within the limited timeframe of the hackathon, the project demonstrated strong potential for real-world healthcare impact.
This achievement highlights the strength of the Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBIS) program at the Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), which emphasizes the integration of business strategy with information technology to solve complex real-world problems.
