Kathmandu University School of Management organized a Faculty and Staff Workshop on Gender Equality under the MAGENDA Project, bringing together faculty and staff members for an engaging session on equality, dignity, inclusion, and institutional responsibility.

The workshop aimed to strengthen awareness and reflection on gender equality within academic spaces. Participants engaged in discussions on gender equality basics, unconscious bias, gender in academia, legal frameworks, intersectionality, and leadership for advocacy. The session also encouraged participants to reflect on how classroom practices, workplace culture, institutional processes, and everyday interactions can contribute to more inclusive and equitable learning environments.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Neeti Aryal Khanal, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Tribhuvan University, with Mr. Jagannath Kandel as co-facilitator. The session was interactive and participatory, allowing faculty and staff members to share experiences, discuss challenges, and identify possible actions for promoting gender-sensitive and inclusive practices within their respective academic and professional contexts.

As part of the workshop, participants also took part in a pledge for gender equality, reaffirming their commitment to uphold equality, dignity, respect, and inclusion for everyone at Kathmandu University.

KUSOM extends sincere appreciation to the resource person, co-facilitator, participants, and all supporting members for their valuable contribution to the workshop. Through initiatives such as this, KUSOM and the MAGENDA Project continue to support the development of academic spaces where equality is practiced, dignity is respected, and inclusion is strengthened.

Promoting equality, dignity, and inclusion.
