Kathmandu University (KU) and World Wildlife Fund
Inc. (WWF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 13 December 2015
at KU premises in Dhulikhel. The main objective of this MoU is to use the
resources of both organizations efficiently and effectively to promote
conservation education and research. Meanwhile the relationship is expected to
exchange information on biodiversity conservation in Nepal and share related
research publications.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju
Shrestha, Vice Chancellor in presence of Registrar Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Dean
and Associate Deans of School of Science and School of Engineering, Kathmandu
University. The signatories from WWF were Mr. Anil Manandhar, Country
Representative, and Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, Senior Conservation Program
Director, in presence of other task force members from WWF.
The duration of MoU is five years which is extended
from July 2015 to July 2020.
