University participated in the Fourth South Asian Universities Youth Festival (SAUFEST) held in Panjab University, Chandigarh, from 12 to 16 February 2009. A contingent of 21 persons led by Hem Raj Kafle and Tirtha Raj Adhikary took part in Folk dance, Light Vocal, Group Song, Fine Arts and Debate.
