We are happy to share that our students, Kritagya Poudel, ADARSH THAPA, and Pratik Shrestha from the Bachelor’s in Health Informatics program recently participated in the “Workshop on Delay-Tolerant Networks (DTN) Solutions for Environmental Monitoring” held in Nepal from 11–15 May 2026.
The workshop was organized under the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), a globally recognized UNESCO-affiliated research institution that supports science and innovation in developing countries.
During the five-day program, the students had the opportunity to work hands-on with technologies such as Raspberry Pi networking, ION DTN software, IoT sensor systems, and environmental monitoring projects including the Trishuli River sensor network. They also learned from internationally recognized experts and researchers, alongside Nepal’s innovator Mahabir Pun.
This experience provided valuable exposure to practical technologies and resilient communication systems that can support areas such as disaster response, environmental monitoring, and connectivity in remote communities.
We are proud to see our students actively participating in international-level learning opportunities and gaining skills that can contribute to Nepal’s growing technology and digital innovation landscape.
