Kathmandu University TN Upraity Centre for Education Announces Education Award for Cerebral Palsy / Nepal

Kathmandu University Trailokya Nath(TN) Upraity Centre for Education announces one Lakh Rupees Education Award for 2012 to the Self-help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal.
The announcement was made in appreciation of the invaluable services of the Self-help Group that rendered for the alleviation of disabilities of children and youth of cerebral palsy through its caring and individualized educational, medical and therapeutic intervention programs.
The Self-help Group has been operating since 1986 in Kathmandu valley and later expanded over 15 districts across the country. Around 2000 children and youth affected by cerebral palsy are taking benefit annually from the centre.
The TN Centre for Education was founded with honor to Senator and Educationist late Dr. Trailokya Nath Upraity at Kathmandu University in 2011. The initiatives of the centre are Mrs. Satyabati Upraity, consort of Dr. T. N. Upraity, family and friends. TN Upraity Award for Education carries a purse of one Lakh Rupees and a citation. It is sponsored by Mr. Deepak Upraity, son of late Dr. TN Upraity. Kathmandu University TN Centre for Education announces Education Award every two year.
