Kathmandu University School of Law (KUSoL) proudly hosted the 3rd Intra Moot Court Competition on December 15th and 16th, 2024. Organized by the Debating and Mooting Society, the event brought together 14 vibrant teams, each comprising three law students, in a simulated courtroom setting designed to test their legal acumen, research skills, and advocacy capabilities.
Held on the university premises, the competition provided a unique platform for students to tackle real-world legal challenges. Over two days of rigorous arguments and deliberations, participants demonstrated exceptional critical thinking and professionalism. A distinguished panel of judges, including experienced legal professionals and faculty members, lauded the teams for their preparation and compelling presentations.
Four teams advanced to the semi-finals:
Team Victor: Siddhartha Aditya Gupta, Sirish Swar Bohara, and Aagya Ghimire
Team Zulu: Sahil Magar, Rakshya Baniya, and Aarya Dhital
Team Kilo: Surbani Rayamajhi, Purnika Shrestha, and Arpan Phuyal
Team Yankee: Arogya Jung Bista, Kushum Rimal, and Shishir Sapkota
In a thrilling finale, Team Victor emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional legal expertise and teamwork. Team Zulu claimed the first runner-up position and also won the Best Memorial Award for their outstanding written submissions. Notably, Siddhartha Aditya Gupta of Team Victor was honored with the Best Speaker Award for his eloquence and persuasive arguments.
The event was a celebration of legal education, perseverance, and collaboration. It provided students with an invaluable learning experience and a glimpse into the demands of professional legal practice.
