Kathmandu University and Simrik Ventures signed an agreement to Launch Bachelor in Aviation Management Program

Kathmandu University (KU) and Simrik Ventures (SV) have inked an agreement today to collaborate on offering a Bachelor in Aviation Management program, aimed at nurturing future leaders in the aviation industry. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Bijay K.C., Dean of School of Management, KU, and Mr. Sanat Neupane, CEO of Simrik Ventures signed the agreement on behalf of the respective institutions.

The Bachelor in Aviation Management program will span four years and will offer a comprehensive curriculum covering various aspects of aviation management. With an initial enrollment size of around 30 students, the program is set to commence in 2025, subject to necessary approvals.

Both parties have outlined their obligations in the agreement, ensuring the smooth operation of the program. Kathmandu University will be responsible for curriculum development, academic guidance, and evaluation, while Simrik Ventures will handle infrastructural arrangements, teaching activities, and student assessment, among others.

Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Registrar, KU, welcomed the dignitaries and expressed his optimism about the collaboration, highlighting the partnership as a fusion of academic excellence and industry expertise. Capt. Rameshwar Thapa, Chairman of Simrik Ventures, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the program's potential to contribute to Nepal's aviation landscape. He also shared his excitement to partner with Kathmandu University in this endeavor. He shared his hope that the combined efforts of the institutions will empower students to become leaders and innovators in the aviation industry, driving growth and sustainability.

The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials from both the institutions amongst a signing ceremony held at Kathmandu University School of Management.
