Kathmandu University and NEA Engineering Company signed an Endowment Agreement on September 25, 2024, establishing the Er. Abinash Mishra Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund. The fund, set up in memory of the late Er. Abinash Mishra, aims to provide need-based scholarships to eligible students pursuing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at Kathmandu University School of Engineering. The scholarship will be supported by bank interest or investment returns generated from the endowment.

The initial contribution to the fund is Rs. 2,000,000, and additional contributions can be made by the donor's family members or other interested individuals or organizations. The university will be responsible for selecting scholarship recipients based on its policies and the terms of the agreement. The fund will exist in perpetuity, with 50% of the annual interest or returns used for scholarship distribution.

The fund's management will follow Kathmandu University’s investment policies, ensuring secure growth and allocation. The agreement also allows for adjustments in the scholarship’s purpose if the original intent becomes impractical, while retaining the memorial identity of the fund.
