Department of Computer Science and Engineering is proud to announce the official signing of a research grant agreement between the IoT Research and Development Lab, Kathmandu University and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST). The project, "Advancing Community Resilience: AI-Driven LoRa Mesh Network for Flood Early Warning in the Kamala River Basin," is officially a go. This agreement signed between MoEST and Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha (PI) on December 21, 2025 represents a funding of NPR 17 Lakhs approximately for a duration of one year. This is also a commitment to three core pillars:

✅ Advancing AI and IoT–enabled research: Pushing the boundaries of deep tech to solve complex environmental challenges.

✅ Translating research into real-world societal impact: Moving beyond the lab to deploy systems that save lives and protect communities.

✅ Supporting national priorities in science and technology: aligning academic innovation with the development goals of our nation.

As an outcome of this research IoT R&D Lab will not only add value in academic research but also develop solution that assists the nation. IoT R&D Lab is always committed in result oriented research and development rather than being limited to academic publication.
