Himalayan University Consortium (HUC) with its Secretariat based at ICIMOD approves
Seed
Grants of US$ 20,000/= for Promoting Research, Education and Capacity
Building Collaboration among Academic/Research Institutions of HUC
members to Royal Thimphu College, Sikkim University and Kathmandu
University jointly. Prof. Subodh Sharma, Department of Environmental
Science and Engg (DESE) will lead the project as one of the applicants.
Period of Implementation for this project is from August 2015 to January
2017 with the title of the project as Building Regional Student and Faculty Collaboration
for Environmental Awareness and Conservation (acronym: HUC). At least one young faculty member, preferably PhD Scholar, from
each university will serve as a team lead for their institution and provide
direction to a team of students in researching this critical issue.
