It was our honor to have Mr. Ken Thomas deliver a guest lecture on the topic: Stress Testing Constitutions: Lessons from the US Experience. The students and faculties had an opportunity to engage in discussion surrounding the US Constitution, interpretative frameworks, separation of powers, and constitutional crisis among others. The recent indictment of Ex-President Trump piqued the interest of participants. The lecture concluded with some comparative thoughts on the Nepali constitution.

Mr. Ken Thomas is a distinguished Legislative Attorney in the American Law division of the Congressional Research Service. As a constitutional law expert, he has over 35 years of experience advising American Senators and members of congressional staff across political party lines. He has testified in hearings in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

We also extend our gratitude to Education in Every Home and Self- Reliant Development organisation for collaborating with us to organise this lecture.
