The ground-breaking ceremony of the Kathmandu University High School Academic Block was held on 31 January 2022, at Dhulikhel Chaukot. The ceremony marked the construction of the 147.60-meter square which is planned to be completed within 8 months. The building is designed by KU-Center for Educational Design (CED).

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, Prof. Dr. Laxman Gnawali, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, KUHS and Prof. Dr. Rajendra Koju, Dean of School of Medical Sciences and other delegates were present in the ceremony.
