Gender Equality Workshop for Students Held at KUSOM
Kathmandu University School of Management organized a Gender Equality Workshop for Students on 12 July 2026 under the MAGENDA Project. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of gender equality, unconscious bias, inclusion, and respectful engagement within academic and social environments.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Neeti Aryal Khanal, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Tribhuvan University. Through interactive discussions, collaborative group activities, and presentations, students examined how gendered assumptions and unconscious biases can shape everyday interactions, opportunities, and institutional experiences.
Participants also worked in groups to identify practical ways of challenging bias and promoting more equitable and inclusive environments. The activities encouraged students to reflect critically, exchange diverse perspectives, and translate their learning into concrete ideas for change.
The workshop provided an engaging platform for students to deepen their awareness of gender-related issues and strengthen their commitment to dignity, respect, and inclusion. Kathmandu University extends its sincere appreciation to the facilitator, organizing team, and participating students for their active engagement and meaningful contributions.
The program was organized under the MAGENDA Project, co-funded by the European Union.
