Four Kathmandu University Student Projects Selected at STEAM Design Competition Among University Students, 2082.

As per the notice shared by the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, Government of Nepal on February 05, 2026, four undergraduate student project ideas from different departments of Kathmandu University has been selected to the second round of "STEAM Design Competition Among University Students, 2082."

Total 18 projects from different colleges and Universities are selected for phase-II of the project. A total amount of NRS 150,000 will be provided to students in different phases based on some evaluation criteria. Information from moest.gov.np:

The ministry will provide grant support in two installments:
The first installment, equivalent to 30% of the estimated cost mentioned in the proposal, will be provided after the agreement and submission of inception report.
The second installment will be disbursed based on an evaluation conducted by subject-related experts on the exhibition day. The evaluation will consider the actual use of raw materials, quality of the final product, time spent, effort, and submitted bills. Authentic PAN or VAT bills are mandatory for any purchase of materials or services.

Kathmandu University congratulates students from various departments on being honored with this grant by the Government of Nepal, in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
